Apt What better way to spend a Saturday morning than to visit this exceptional market. Lively and colourful, with beautiful hand crafted local ceramics and of course its candied fruit, which is one of its most famous productions since the  middle of nineteenth century.

Be sure to visit the Cathédrale of Sainte-Anne as well.Some of the nearby attractions : The Colorado de Provence, the villages of Gordes and the Bories, the Sénanque Abbey and Roussillon.


Castellane Put this on your list of things to do. Castellane is a lovely village on the edge of the Verdon river. A small but busy market is held on a Saturday. Its biggest attraction is its location, perfect for all outdoor activités  such as Rafting ,canoeing, hiking ,etc...

Just outside the village is the Citroen Museum, an unbelievable collection of old cars (afternoons only) Check out  the sirénes and fossil museum in the village. We can also go to the village of Rougon to see the vultures and of course go to admire the Gorges.

Manosque a small farmers market with delicious local produce is held on a Wednesday and the main market is held on the Saturday.The old town is charming with cafés and restaurants, and the two main entrances are la porte de la Saunerie (1832 ) and la porte de Soubeyran end of the 13th century.

Attraction close by is: Occitane en Provence.


Riez The main market is on a saturday morning and typically provencal. Nearby is the village of Sainte Croix, overlooking the beautiful lac Sainte Croix.Quinson prehistoric museum.
