Come and discover one of the jewels of the Alpes de Haute Provence
The plateau of Ganagobie was formed more than 20 million years ago and is full of surprises.
A roman church, mosaics unique in France, an ancient quarry and more. A little windy road will lead us to the plateau where there are amazing views across the Durance valley.
The Benedictine monks who live, work and pray there, run a little boutique full of regional products which is opened in the afternoons. We will have plenty of time to go there at the end of the visit.
Good shoes are recommended as the ground is uneven and there is 500 meters walk from the parking to the church.
Open all year Tuesday to Sunday.
Open every day in the summer holidays.
